My vmhost has 4 NICs. Each vSwitch has been assigned a single physical adapter.
I am trying to move a Red Hat linux server from vSwitch0 to vSwitch3. I go to the vm's setting and edit the network setting to the port group located in the vSwitch3. The vm now shows up on vSwitch3.
When I boot up the vm Red Hat machine, the NIC on it does not start up stating the the MAC address is not what it is expecting. The MAC address did not change when I moved the vm to the different vSwitch.
Is this the proper way to move a vm to a differnt vSwitch? The MAC address setting on the VM is set to automatic.
