Hello all,
I have two working WinXP physical machines that I have converted via the v5 vCenter Standalone converter. Both machines converted successfully but both BSOD on boot under Workstation v8. The logs indicate a STOP 0x0000007B error. I know that this is a INACCESSABLE_BOOT_DEVICE error and have read related items in this forum but cannot seem to find a solution I understand.
It seems that there are some minor changes to the vmx and vmdk files that will solve this problem. If this is the case, could someone elaborate on what exactly these changes are? If there are settings that I missed during conversion I am will to convert again if that is what is required.
Prior conversions have always "just worked" some I have never had to troubleshoot this type of problem before. Any help is greatly appreciated!
