Hi all. We are using VMWare WS 7.x and 8.x. We have had a lot of problems with MS Office 2010 and MS Windows7 nagging our users to Activate even though the it was Activated before distribution and the licenses are legal and for volume use/distribution.
Bearing that in mind, I have 2 questions regarding a VMWare KB article I found that seems to be unclear. The article is located at: http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1541
1)Is the uuid.action = "keep" setting the EXACT SAME THING as manually choosing I MOVED IT when a VM is powered on the first time? If not, can someone explain the differences? The article never really defines the difference (if any) between permanently hard coding it and choosing it manually.
2)Has anyone with our MS Activation annoyance found that the uuid.action = "keep" or choosing I MOVED IT has 100% solved their Activation issues when distributing the VM? Or, have you found a better solution?
