Welcome to the Commuunity - The product Hyper-V competes directly with vSphere 5 and can provides the same capabilities as Hyper-V. vSphere is comprised of ESXi 5 which is the hypervisor providing the virtualization platform and vCenter provides the manament and monitoring of the virtual environment. With VMware having the lions share of the virtualization market many of the main stream monitoring support a vsper environment including UPS devices. The major difference is the density of VMs that you can run on an ESXi host - ranging 8-10 per core conservatively. So the way you have described your envionment you run the entire environment on 5 ESXi hosts. You also have he capabvility to add functionality like VMware FT which provides instataneous failover of a running VM and Site Revoery Manager that provides disaster recovery and the capability to test it without affecting production.
