USB Passthrough Service - Remove Associated Device with VM?

Hello

vCenter Server 5, ESXi5, Dell R410 Host, Win2k8R2 VM

Customer using USB passthrough on ESXi5 to provide an HASP dongle to a Win2k8 VM.  Other day the USB device dropped from device manager, to they removed/readded the USB dongle, and eventually removed/readded the USB controller.  Can't add the USB device as it does not show up in the list.

Disconnected/reconnected ESXi host from vCenter from console.

Ran services.sh restart - usbarbitrator service slow to restart....?

checked dmesg, USB devices recognized.

On SSH ran lsusb and both HASP and Aladdin USB dongles detected.  Noticed that each time the device is unplugged and plugged in, a new unique name is associated (usb104, 105, 106, etc)

Took a look at the VMX to see if there was any USB passthrough binding existing, not sure if there is a way to dissassociate a ghost USB device that might be preventing them from re-appearing in the add device wizard?

Have a ticket in with VMware but production starts up again on Monday morning, Any ideas?
