I'm running into numerous issues trying to get Solaris 11 11/11 up and running as a VM guest.
Host is running VMware vSphere 5 (ESXi 5.0.0 build 504890)
Guest VM is Oracle Solaris 11 11/11 release
- vmxnet3 NIC
Issues discovered after attempting to install vmware tools:
1) vmware-config-tools.pl script fails.
2) vmxnet3 NIC driver prints numerous kernel debug messages when the OS boots.
3) setting the interface to MTU=9000 seems to increase the MTU size to only 1504.
Has anyone else been successful in getting this to work?
