How to make applications work on different flatforms

I captured an application on windows xp 32 bit machine where one of ini file content is

[Cognos Locations]
PowerPlay 6.7=C:\Program Files\Cognos\cer2\bin
PowerPlay DataServer R27=C:\Program Files\Cognos\cer2\bin

But when i tried the same on windows 7 x64 bit machine application is failed due to this.

If i change the above content to C:\Program Files (x86)\ it is working fine.

But my requirement is one captured application has to work on two builds .

Is there any option to do.
