I have downloaded the latest version of VMWare Workstation (VMware-workstation-full-8.0.2-591240), it has been installed on the following server running Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise x64.
Dell PowerEdge R910
4x Intel Xeon E7-4860 2.26GHz (10C / 20T)
256GB RAM
14x 900GB SAS Drives RAID 5
2x 146GB SAS Drives RAID 1 - Windows Server 2008 R2 Ent x64 sits here.
Broadcom BCM5709C NetXtreme II Network Adaptor
No matter how many times I have installed on uninstalled VMWare, I cannot for the life of me power on the VM. I have tried it on a standard desktop PC running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard, and this works, but not on the above. Please advise...
I even used the default settings for install and setup.
