I have here e.g. Netapp3040 (2 heads cluster / iscsi) and have 4 paths - so by RR all the 4 paths will be used.
By one customer we have Netapp 2040 (cluster also) and have there 4 active paths (fc) - they using RR also.
The DS series von IBM (MD3000 from Dell) work as active/passive (MRU).
In production you will find active/active and active/passive arrays.
Just my 2 cents.
