I'm doing a test lab testing VMware Workstation 8 and I have a very important question and I hope I can help.
The theme of networks within VMware so I have more or less light (roughly; Bridged: virtual machines own IP in the network, NAT: they are "behind" the physical and Host PC only: PC communication only between physical and virtual).
Now. I need to create a private network that virtual machines do not have any access to the local network real, until they complete the tests.
In appearance, easy, or so I thought. I go to the network editor, selected a free virtual card (other than 0, 1 and 8), disable the DHCP (do not need this enabled the lab), I say connected and selection by the Host Only option.
When configuring the network card for each virtual machine, select the virtual card that I have previously set the vmware network editor and accept. (Note: Virtual machines are already configured IP and are within the same workgroup) The machines are not seen, nor do ping or anything.
I've been two days with this issue and the truth is that the solution doi sure to be a chuminada, but no way.
I hope someone can help me and tell me how to configure a single network for virtual machines without access to any other network.

Hola todos los miembros.
Estoy haciendo un laboratorio de pruebas probando VMware Workstation 8 y tengo una duda bastante importante y espero me puedan ayudar.
El tema de redes dentro de VMware lo tengo más o menos claro (a groso modo; Bridged: Máquinas virtuales con IP propia y presentes en la red , NAT: estan "detrás" del PC físico y Host only: comunicación solamente entre el pc fisico y el virtual).
Ahora. Necesito crear una red privada en la cual las máquinas virtuales no tengan ningún tipo de acceso a la red local real, hasta que no se concluyan las pruebas.
En apariencia, fácil, o eso creia yo. Voy al editor de redes, seleciono una de las tarjetas virtuales libres (que no sean la 0, 1 y 8), desactivo el DHCP (no necesito que este activado para el laboratorio), le digo conectado y selecion la opción Host Only.
En la configuración de la tarjeta de red de cada maquina virtual, selecciono la tarjeta virtual que he configurado previamente en el editor de redes de vmware y acepto. (nota: las máquinas virtuales ya tienen configurada la IP y estan dentro del mismo grupo de trabajo) Las maquinas no se ven, ni se hacen ping ni nada de nada.
Llevo ya dos dias con este asunto y la verdad es que no doi con la solución y seguro que sera una chuminada, pero no hay forma.
Espero alguien me pueda ayudar y decirme como configurar una red solo para maquinas virtuales y sin acceso a ninguna otra red.
