Re: workstation 8.0.2 won't build modules for kernel 2.6.42

Marty, I realise you were replying to someone else, but if his problem is the same as mine, then (as I said in an ealier post), the problem exists in 8.0.1 as well as 8.0.2.  In fact I've see this sort of thing _many_ times in the past several years: A new kernel comes out, and Workstation modeuls cease to compile.  Then either someone comes out with patches or VMware issues a new release.  In fact when I went from the 2.40.X kernels to the 2.41.X kernels, Workstation 7 modules stopped compiling. Going to 8.0.1 fixed things.  Usually with a late model VMware and a late model kernel, someone issues patches w/in 48 hours.  That has not been the case here, and I've had to drop back to kernel 2.41.4 to run vmware.  By the way, I have no reason to believe that dropped back a major version in VMware (say, to 7.1.5) would help since even the 2.6.41 kernel would not compile the modules  for that version.

Anyway I just wanted to clarify that the problem (my problem anyway) exists in 8.0.1 as well as 8.0.2.  I'm surprised I have not seen more people complaining  about it,
