Hello all,
I am new to ghettoVCB, so pardon what may be a silly question.
I have several VMs with both Physical and Virtual RDMs. I see that this is detected as "INDEPENDENT VMDK(s)" in the dryrun and backup process. Is there a way to ignore these RDM files as to prevent ghettoVCB reporting the backup as having failed for the vm?
It seems wierd that the VM would be marked as having failed to backup when the dryrun shows it as Ok and the actual error log only lists this event as a warning.
I did see the "VMDK_FILES_TO_BACKUP" directive, but it only seems to allow inclusion and not exclusion.
Maybe I am missing something?
Looking for any input anyone can provide.
Thanks! -Cheers, Peter.
P.S. It might be a feature request to consider capturing the RDM's destination and recreating it on restoration of the VM. Not sure if the information for the RDM's destination is accessable from the console or not...
