How Many Paths will Round Robin Use?

What determines how many paths will be used by round robin?

Example:

For example, suppose I have 2 HBA's on a single physical host, and they each have 2 ports.  If I am using a round robin path selection policy, how could I calculate how many paths round robin will actually use?
