Thanks guys (Artur and David) for your inputs. That's precisely what I intend to do. However, my objective is to keep a backup copy of my VMs in its original datastore before I test the copy is working properly. Hence, I decided to copy the VMs across datastores first and then move the V7000 LUNs across from ESX 3.5 Cluster to ESX 4.1 Cluster. Hence, in this case if need be then I still will have my original VMs in place attached to the ESX 3.5 Cluster on 3 PAR storage.
