Re: esxi server shutdown and rebooted

You need to check the message logs which contains vmkernel, hostd and vmkwarning logs together where this shutdown and startup logs would be saved.

 

all the lines with vmkernel. hostd and vmkwarning has to be checked in message logs to determine the cause of host failure.

 

once after the reboot you have to take log dump by using command vm-support command.

so that you can review logs or logs will be rewritten
