Topic says it all. I'm trying to get the physical disk status (RAID set optimal, disk bad, etc.) of my host from a VM. There's a CLI command that will dump the info, but I'm not sure (other than SSH+keys) to run it and send email alerts. Alternatively, I could use the esxcli-type commands, but haven't been able to find one that shows this... I'm using the free vSphere 5 so I don't think I have SNMP available... Any ideas?
