I will set the development guest up for host only now and see what will happen.
Concerning he manuals, they are all mut very hard for me to navigate being web based things, so I tend to twiddle along a bit, google and then finally ask here.

Can the development guest both be on the Internet and talk to the test guest?
This would probably entail having a host-only adapter AND a bridged adapter defined, right?
I just realized while writing the above that this guest is my development machine and it probably needs Internet access so I can search for answers.
It has a full set of anti-virus tools installed though.
This is not true for the other guest, which has no antivirus installed at all. That is why I want it isolated from the big bad world...
