I just emailed in a reply Re: how to patch and left off part of the commad. It should look like this:
"esxcli software vib install -d [name-of-datastore]name-of-patch.zip"
I'd forgotten to include the "install" verb. Sorry man, that's what I get for trying to thing at this point in the week.
