I recently installed an MCE Optibay into my MBP, and have experienced shocking performance issues. I've just found a couple of threads on these forums documenting the fact that this mod seems to have issues with Fusion:
I've gone through my VMs and have removed all CD/DVD devices, but it hasn't resolved the problem. Are there any other known fixes/hacks for this?
I was experiencing this issue with the latest version of 3, and have since upgraded to 4.12. I've tried all sorts of other troubleshooting steps including testing with multiple VMs, modifying processor/RAM settings (the MBP has 8gb so there's plenty to go around), disabling video acceleration, and a few other things I forget.
The weird thing is that occasionally things seem to run fine - I can't work the pattern out, but every now and then things fire up and performance is fine.
Any tips or ideas would be much appreciated.
