I have had this issue for about a week now and have tried almost everything (except the correct answer). I am running Mac OSX 10.7.2 lion on a Two 2.66 GHz Dual-core Intel Xeon. Here is what happens:
1. i install fusion 3 with general settings and with valid serial (i do not want to buy a copy of Fusion 4).
2. i restart the Mac (just to make sure everything gets registered and whatnot - i know it's probably not necessary).
3. Place a windows 7 32-bit disc into the drive to get ready to install into Fusion as a VM.
4. Have tried both 'Easy Install' and regular set up. Entered serial for windows and admin password.
5. Clicked install/next.
6. Virtual machine window pops up (with the 'play' button in the center of the 'player').
7. The 'player' window freezes - nothing happens.
I have uninstalled Fusion 3 by using the manual uninstall guide which tells you to double-click uninstall, delete files from <user> > library > plist. All files deleted (moved to trash) that relate to Fusion. Deleted Virtual Machines directory.
I do a reinstall and the exact thing happens, again.
I have installed Fusion 3 just fine on two other Macs that are running Snow Leopard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I just downloaded Fusion 3.1.3 and will install (Not sure if the same serial will work).
Thanks.
