Semi success when getting your “load of info about the new guest environment”.
The first option was to use my Snow Leopard installation disc but Lion wouldn’t recognoze the disc when inserted. So I “continued without disc”.
Second option under “Use operating system installation disc or image” and “Choose a disc or disc image” was to follow this path: Volumes/Macintosh HD (my Snow Leopard volume)/Applications/Corel Painter 8. I got the dreaded circle with a slash over the Painter 8 icon and couldn’t open it.
Third option was to “Use an Existing Virtual Disc” and followed this path: Volumes/Macintosh HD/Applications/Corel Painter 8/Contents/Mac OS/ Corel Painter 8. The “Corel Painter 8” was grayed out and couldn’t be opened.
Fourth option was to “Create a custom virtual machine”. I chose: Apple Mac OSX version Mac OSX Server 10.6 64-bit. I got what looks like success (See screen shot 1 attached) but when I clicked on the “Finish” button VMware attempted to open but got an “unsuccessful” error (see screen shots 2 and 3).
Can’t figure out what to do. Any help would be appreciated.
