Hi,

I m new for Vmware Esxi  technology. I m going to join training of  VCP5 on next month. But before participating in this training, I would like to take some hand on experience on the same. So, for that, I have install Vmware workstation 7 on my home PC. I have install Esxi 3.5 server on Vm workstation.

I have just edit the vmware virtual machine configuration file [C:\Documents and Settings\a48923\My Documents\My Virtual Machines\Esxi-01] as given below which is marked in bold letter.

scsi0.present = "TRUE"
scsi0.virtualDev = "lsilogic"
memsize = "1024"
scsi0:0.present = "TRUE"
scsi0:0.fileName = "Esxi-01.vmdk"
ide1:0.present = "TRUE"
ide1:0.autodetect = "TRUE"
ide1:0.deviceType = "cdrom-raw"
floppy0.startConnected = "FALSE"
floppy0.fileName = ""
floppy0.autodetect = "TRUE"
ethernet0.present = "TRUE"

ethernet0.virtualDev = "vlance"
ethernet0.connectionType = "bridge"

monitor_control.restrict_backdoor = TRUE
monitor_control.vt32 = TRUE
monitor.virtual_exec = "automatic"

ethernet0.wakeOnPcktRcv = "FALSE"
ethernet0.addressType = "generated"
roamingVM.exitBehavior = "go"
displayName = "Esxi-01"
guestOS = "redhat"
nvram = "Esxi-01.nvram"
virtualHW.productCompatibility = "esx"
extendedConfigFile = "Esxi-01.vmxf"
ethernet0.generatedAddress = "00:0c:29:32:f8:b3"
uuid.location = "56 4d a1 a1 32 5f 3d 52-1c 62 0a 1c 2b 32 f8 b3"
uuid.bios = "56 4d a1 a1 32 5f 3d 52-1c 62 0a 1c 2b 32 f8 b3"
cleanShutdown = "TRUE"
replay.supported = "TRUE"
replay.filename = ""
scsi0:0.redo = ""
vmotion.checkpointFBSize = "16777216"
ethernet0.generatedAddressOffset = "0"
tools.remindInstall = "TRUE"
ethernet0.linkStatePropagation.enable = "FALSE"
tools.syncTime = "FALSE"
ethernet0.vnet = "VMnet8"

After  editing on configuration file. I started Esxi server. But at the time of booting it shows lmdriver load failure. When I tried to configure Exsi network, its always prompt back to reset default network setting. While I searched on internet, I found NIC of this machine not supporting to Esxi. Is there any way to configure Microsoft loop back adopter or any virtual adopter for esxi ? So that I can install multiple esxi server on a single machine on vmware   workstation and can be communicate to each other.
