Hello,

 

First it would help to state the product you are trying to use for this.

My guess is VMware Workstation 12 or VMware Player 8 (not vSphere where you also posted)

 

Anyways.. it doesn't exactly work like that.

Your virtual machine (VM) will not get direct access to the graphics card as your host OS already has that access.

Instead your VM gets to see a virtualized graphics adapter.

 

While with VMware Workstation 12.x you can now run DirectX 10.0 applications, when you start talking about "high-end" graphics adapters that is not where I'd say that capability falls in.

 

Virtual Machines are not a very suitable load for VMs.

Yes you can run some games.

But you will also mostly end up being frustrated if you intend to play the latest games.
